USA Today- Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who played lovers in HBO’s Game of Thrones, are taking the love plunge in real life. The two are engaged to be married. After People broke the news Tuesday quoting a source, the BBC then featured an official engagement announcement the families published in the Times of London newspaper. The formal post reads: “MR. K.C. HARINGTON AND MISS R.E. LESLIE. The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughters of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire.” The couple played onscreen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte on Game of Thrones starting in 2012. Leslie left the cast two years later, Harington’s fan-favorite Snow has appeared in seven seasons.

They were too perfect together and things that are too perfect get axed out in that world with the quickness. But luckily Jon Snow and Ygritte exist in real life (and yes I will always be referring to them as Jon Snow and Ygritte cause that’s who they are). I honestly can’t think of a celebrity couple with a higher approval rate than these two. I want to thank the old gods and the new for making this fairytale engagement happen.
