The HillFormer White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon tried to spy on Facebook by planting a mole in the company, BuzzFeed reported.

According to internal emails obtained by the news outlet, Bannon was seeking to gain insight into Facebook’s hiring process.

“There is one for a DC-based ‘Public Policy Manager’ at Facebook’s What’s APP [sic] division. LinkedIn sent me a notice about some job openings,” Chris Gacek, a former congressional staffer who works for the conservative Family Research Council, wrote on Aug. 1, according to Buzzfeed. Gacek reportedly gave Bannon the idea of infiltrating Facebook.

“This seems perfect for Breitbart to flood the zone with candidates of all stripe who will report back to you / Milo [Yiannopoulos] with INTEL about the job application process over at FB,” Gacek, who works at the Family Research Council, continued.

Bannon forwarded the emails to Yiannopoulos, Breitbart’s former tech editor, later that day. Yiannopoulos resigned from the conservative website in February after a video surfaced of him defending pedophilia.

Such a classic villainous bad guy Bannon move. The most villainous looking motherfucker in the world doing modern villainous shit like planting moles at Facebook. Of course he is. You don’t gotta take over the world with invasions anymore; you take over the world by infiltrating Facebook. Feed your material into the system and let Zuckerberg spread that shit in the name of building the world’s most influential empire. Literally. That’s what Russia’s been doing.

Obviously Bannon tried to get in on the infiltrating Facebook game. Can you be the most villainous looking creature in American politics and not? Spoiler: no you cannot.

Can’t believe that little pipsqueak Zuckerberg owns the most powerful tool on earth. In a world run by republics, the power lies in owning and controlling what the people see, read, watch, hear. Russia knows that. Bannon knows that. We’re not sure if/to what degree Russia succeeded in their manipulation efforts, but we sure know those fuckers tried (and still are trying).

And so of course was Bannon. You can hate him or love him, but of course that dude was trying to stay ahead of the game by planting a friendly at Facebook. He wouldn’t be the evil genius / victorious campaign + White House strategist if he wasn’t.
