Another 2-1 week to improve to 25-9 over the last 11 blogs. Pimpin ain’t easy, but it sure is fun. My only downfall last week was trusting preseason football. Oakland/Arizona was one of my picks and that sure as fuck did not work out. Being a hard-nosed New Yorker like I am, I also came across both Giants and Jets games which were travesties in their own right. There was a grand total of 42 points scored in those 2 barn burners. Preseason is not the best formula for overs. I’m thinking we’ll wait till next week when the starters go to get back in to the preseason. Let’s shoot for 3-0 this week. 28-9 has a nice (hypothetical) ring to it.

  • Mercury/Mystics Over 164
    • The Phoenix Mercury against 6 time WNBA attendance championships. What a matchup. Griner v. Delle Donne. The total of 164 is beautiful. Not too high, not too low. The Mercury is 9-4 on the O/U record away from Phoenix and the total has gone over in 4 of Washington’s last 6 home games. Fire it up.
  • Reds/Braves Over 9.5
    • I love this pitching matchup. A fellow italiano, Sal Romano, is on the bump for Cincy sporting a 6.05 ERA and he’s going up against one Robert Allen Dickey. All-time New York Met. CY YOUNG WINNER. Luckily no one’s really intimidated by the knuckleball anymore so we’re going waaaay over here.
  • Mariners/Rays Over 8.5
    • Perfect number here. 9 is all we need. No push needed and that’s a plus. The total in these 2 squads last head to head games is working with a 6-3-1 record and each team is above .500 on overs for the season. Love this.

That’s all for me this week, folks. As always you can find me on Twitter @glenny_balls for questions, comments, and concerns. May the Gambling Gods be with you.
