HBO Spain Mistakenly Aired The Next Episode Of Game Of Thrones Last Night And It Has Been Leaked Onto The Internet (No Spoilers In Blog)

NO SPOILERS HERE, DON’T WORRY

Independent-
In a devastating blunder, HBO Spain appears to have accidentally broadcast Game of Thrones season 7 episode 6 four days early. The episode was reportedly available on-demand to Spanish subscribers for one hour before being removed – long enough for it to be ripped and shared. Footage from the episode was posted on Reddit (we won’t link to the thread as it’s full of spoilers) via YouTube, Instagram, Twitch and other streaming services, before swiftly being taken down.

At the time of writing, the full episode has just started being posted on torrent sites and is being uploaded with the file name ‘Game_of_Thrones_-_S07E06.flv’ to sites like Mega.nz faster than HBO can take the links down. The Independent can confirm it is real (and HD).

HBO has yet comment on the situation.

What the fuck Spain? I would expect that type of silly ass bullshit from Germany, maybe. Perhaps someone in jolly old England had a few too many pints and pressed the Episode 6 button instead of replaying Episode 5. And I almost expect that type of shit from those red hacking bastards in Russia. But Spain has always been about being laid back and cool. You guys take siestas there every fucking day and have these fun dinners with wine and laughs and happiness. How the hell could you be so careless to let this evil out into the world? I can understand the hackers doing what they did. They are just trying to get that ransom paper and bitcoins. But this was just careless nonsense and the worst performance out of Spain since the big bad Spanish Armada came crumbling apart like the 2011 Dream Team Philadelphia Eagles. And for that, Spain gets the shame gif treatment.

Now because of HBO Spain’s fuck up, these spoilers hang over the heads of millions of people like a sword hangs over (Spoiler from Season 1)’s head, ready to swing down at any moment. I would love to say that I could shut down social media for 4 days and avoid any spoilers, but I know in my heart of hearts I can’t shut down social media for 4 minutes. It’s the reason I was up last night until 1:30 watching some grainy version of it. I’d rather have the next episode spoiled for me by blurry video that appears to have been shot by a Motorola RAZR than read about it through some troll’s tweets. I am not happy or proud of that happening, but it put my mind to rest. Especially when I found an HD version. If we are being honest, I would probably binge watch the entire NFL season if it leaked today. The Thrones episode I watched was taken down shortly thereafter, so I don’t have a link for any other masochists. But there are plenty of English versions of the leak out there

Nonetheless, the point of this blog is to warn Thrones fans to keep their heads on a swivel since there were apparently spoilers flying last night on Twitter. Sure now this places Pandora’s Box at people’s feet and they have to decide if they want to go Pirate Simon and torrent some crazy file with a name straight out of Limewire and watch it without their friends or significant other. That’s not for me to choose. I am just some lowly, overfed raven delivering a message with giant bags under his eyes.
