Chinese Company Punishes Workers By Making Them Drink From The Toilet

(Shanghaiist) “A video of workers being made to drink toilet water for not reaching training targets has left Chinese netizens appalled, wondering how far they would go to keep their jobs.

In the stomach-turning clip, one male employee is seen scooping water out of a squat toilet and inspecting it for several seconds, before putting the cup to his lips, while another woman drinks the water down with extreme hesitation.

According to a report from the Beijing News, the employees work for a photography studio in Sichuan’s Guang’an city and were being punished for their lackluster performance. Afterward, one of the female workers said that she suffering from diarrhea from the punishment and couldn’t even eat rice without wanting to throw up. The person who filmed the video has been arrested by local police and put in detention for 4 days.”

YIKES. Remember when Erika caught loads of shit for texting potential employees on nights and weekends to check their response time? Meanwhile, you got a company out in China sending everyone on payroll to drink from the shitter. And this Company’s CEO doesn’t even seem to be catching much flack.

“The person who filmed the video has been arrested by local police and put in detention for 4 days.”

Nope, it’s the person who filmed it that’s catching heat! That’d be like if Dave’s noogies ended up giving Nate brain damage and only Young Pageviews ended up getting arrested because he put it in Stool Scenes. People would probably be a lot more cool with YP filming all the drama in the office if they knew he would be the only one fucked over by lawsuits.

Anyways, Feel like everything these days is either WAY too civilized or WAY too savage. You’re either in the US, where a CEO admitting to calling her employees during off hours can stir up quite a shit storm, or you’re in China, where filming your CEO force employees to drink from the toilet can get you arrested. Where the flying fuck is  the happy medium??

However, if Dave or Erika want to implement this form of discipline I’m all for it. Would make for incredible content and zero lawsuits if we all just sign wavers which I’m sure no-one would have a problem with.  I just feel like I should have a clause in mine that says when in China I just have to drink tap water when punished as that is more than enough to give me diarrhea.

P.S. In China they call the bathroom a “Water Closet.” Don’t hate it. Most bathrooms are the size of closets and when in public, are never used for bathing. They do tho, always contain loads of water. Look at China actually making sense for once.
