Which Sport Has The Best Movies?

Screen Shot 2017-07-20 at 2.30.58 PM

Over the weekend I watched a few fighting movies, as you do. Warrior, Southpaw, and Million Dollar Baby, to be exact, and I thought to myself, “Ya know, my thing is combat sports. MMA primarily, but I enjoy boxing and kickboxing and everything you can call a “combat sport”. Boxing isn’t what it used be, and MMA’s on the rise, but no combat sport is mainstream to the level of baseball, football, soccer, hockey, or basketball…and the best sports movies are STILL about them!” I threw the tweet out there, and Big Cat disagreed heavily.

He also said it’s not fair for me to group ALL combat sports together, and I agreed, so just stuck to boxing. He made his list, I made mine, and now I’d like to take a look at all sports and give you their best ten movies (what I believe is general consensus, no documentaries) and their Rotten Tomatoes scores I’m trying to be as unbiased as possible, so if your movie doesn’t make the list, apologies, but I don’t wanna hear it. I also don’t wanna hear you complain about the % ratings system, because that’s pulled from Rotten Tomatoes, not my brain.

I polled the office and got their picks for which sport has the best movies, that can be found at the bottom of this blog.
