This Pizza Delivery Guy Buzzing Through The G20 Riots Is An All Time Pizza Moment
Mashable- The protests at the G20 summit in Hamburg have gotten pretty ugly. But people still need pizza. The event, which began Friday, will bring leaders from around the world together. It also, significantly, marks the first official meeting of Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The “Welcome to Hell” protests, as they are being dubbed, were expected to see 100,000 activists join their cause in demonstrating against the annual event. That large figure, of course, is according to the police, who have deployed nearly 20,000 riot police as a response (the actual number of protesters has been estimated at just over 8,000.)
So I couldn’t tell you what these riots are for but that is just an all time moment from pizza delivery guys right there. Borderline iconic. The bravest of the brave. Also, you can’t pay for that type of exposure if you’re Dominos. There are dudes wearing expensive suits in giant mahogany boardrooms all across the world trying to figure out the best marketing strategy for their products. How to make consumers pick up what they’re putting down. Countless hours are spent. Countless e-mails are sent. Countless conference call hours are wasted. And yet NOTHING buys exposure quite like an incredibly brave pizza guy buzzing though riot crowds on his GTA-style pizza moped delivering piping hot goodness to hungry people. I mean just watch that video and look at all the photographers snapping pictures of him as he buzzes by. That guy should get a cut of all the profits from here on out but sadly he won’t. No love for the little guy.
