Wake Up With Dmitri Young Hitting Three Home Runs In The Tigers Home Opener (2005)
Ah, Dmitri Young. The Young brothers — lot of “what could’ve been” with those two, more so with Delmon, though. Dmitri was a first-round, fourth overall pick, and his younger brother Delmon was a first-round, first overall selection twelve years later. Dmitri ended up playing 13 major league seasons before hanging it up after his age-34 season, while Delmon’s 10-year major league career apparently has ended after his age-29 season, after he was arrested for battery when he choked a valet in Miami and threatened to kill him. With a .628 OPS in 2015, Delmon wasn’t worth the headache. Loved watching Dmitri play, though. Could just tell the guy loved the game.
