Belmont Stakes! Belmont Stakes! Belmont Stakes! The final leg, baby! It would obviously be a lot more fancy if we had a pony going for the Triple Crown, but this race is actually very unique as Always Dreaming, Cloud Computing, and Classic Empire are all not participating in the mile and a half run around Belmont. Pretty weird having no previous jewel winners or favorites in the race- at least last year Exaggerator ran at Belmont. Gonna be a wide open race which is going to be the icing on the cake from a great day at the track. Can’t wait. I passed out drunk and slept through the race last year so my last Stakes memory was Pharaoh winning by God only knows how much to end the 37-year wait in 2015.

  • Acorn Stakes
    • #8 Salty at 4/1. I don’t know why this and another random race stuck out at me, but it did. I love the name Salty even though he got killed with a tough 14 post when he ran in the Kentucky Oaks. Love him on the outside for the win.
  • Manhattan Stakes
    • Going with #4 Time Test here at 5/1. Give me that Chad Brown/Javier Castellano any day of the fucking week. His last race was the first off a long layoff and he’s had 3 solid workouts since then. Brown/Castellano ’20.
  • Belmont Stakes
    • The current favorite here is Irish War Cry at 7-2. Fuck that. I’m going with a bit of a long shot and taking the #10 Multiplier at 15/1. I love that he rocks the shit out of those blinkers to keep him closer to the pace of the race. Multiplier to win along with exactas with both #2 Tapwrit and #8 Senior Investment. I’m also going to go with my heart and throw a little cash on Patch. This year’s Lani. Let’s go.

That’s all for us, folks. As always you can find me on Twitter @glenny_balls. Good Luck with these ponies!
