Wake Up With Julio Franco Becoming The Oldest Player To Ever Hit A Grand Slam (2005)

What the fuck is up with the audio from this home run sounding like it came from the 1960’s? I mean, I know Julio Franco is old as dirt, but he’s not THAT old. Dude was 46 when he hit this grand slam, though. With that one swing, he became the oldest player in history to hit a grand slam in baseball history. Believe it or not, this motherfucker actually went on to play TWO more seasons after his age-FORTY-SIX season. As late as his age-47 season, he still hit .273 with a .699 OPS in 165 at-bats. To put that in perspective, Albert Pujols is hitting .243 with a .692 OPS in 210 at-bats this year. He’s currently ten years younger than Franco was that season.
