In Least Surprising News Of All Time, Dennis Rodman Checks Into Rehab

(CNN) — Former basketball star Dennis Rodman has checked into an alcohol-rehabilitation center after facing backlash for his visit to North Korea.”Dennis Rodman came back from North Korea in pretty rough shape emotionally. The pressure that was put on him to be a combination ‘super human’ political figure and ‘fixer’ got the better of him,” his agent, Darren Prince, said Sunday in a written statement. “He is embarrassed, saddened and remorseful for the anger and hurt his words have caused.”

Prince said Rodman is at a facility in New Jersey, one with a “28- or 30-day” program. He said Rodman drank heavily in North Korea during a recent tumultuous trip to the secretive state to play a basketball game with some former NBA stars against national team players from the regime.

I was all set to say that Dennis Rodman is a total quitter and that this is the most disappointing news Ive heard all week, then I saw his agent’s comments.

I mean the human race needed a super human political figure, Dennis Rodman stepped up to the plate and went to North Korea and played a game of pickup basketball to save the world, well this is what you get. You can’t expect someone to be super human and not have a few too many from time to time. It’s barely even rehab, it’s just a long nap from holding the entire earth on your shoulders for the past year. Almost like a much needed vacation. Good job worm, you deserve this. Haters gonna hate, Super humans gonna do super human things (drink too much).

So we really are saying this guy had a drinking problem? Still not sure I buy it.
