Scoring Zero Goals Is Not The Way To Win In The Playoffs: Hawks Drop Game 1

The playoff are supposed to be fun. That wasn’t fun. The Blackhawks came out flat, gave up the lead on a BAD defensive breakdown, and then Rinne slammed the door right in there face. The Hawks didn’t really challenge him all that much, but he came up with the saves when needed. Plenty of positives for the Hawks to draw upon going forward. They really controlled the play the final two periods, but they will have to ratchet up the intensity BIG time in Game 2. The Predators are a good team. Nobody said this series would be a cake walk. If winning the Stanley Cup was easy more teams than just the Hawks would do it. Long series ahead, still feel great about this series. Full recap blog coming tomorrow.
