Wake Up With Kendrys Morales Murdering A Grand Slam In Tampa

Kendrys Morales is not Edwin Encarnacion. We’ll start right there. But the hole that was left in that Blue Jays lineup when Toronto decided to move on from EE this past winter was filled up quite nicely when they added Morales instead. He’s coming off a 30-homer season with Kansas City, and by the looks of it, he’d like to reach that 30-homer mark again this year with his new club. The four runs driven in by Morales on one swing of the bat were enough to topple Tampa Bay to give Toronto their first win of the 2017 season. By the way, Marcus Stroman is still riding the wave from his MVP-winning performance in the World Baseball Classic. He went 6.1 innings yesterday, allowing just one earned run, struck out five and walked a pair to pick up his first win.
