Matt Damon Is Worried About David Price's Elbow

World Series - St Louis Cardinals v Boston Red Sox - Game One

I feel you, Matt. I really do. I’m worried, too, man. I may not show it, because I’m trying to be strong for Red Sox Nation, but I’d be lying if I told you that I think everything’s gonna be all good when it comes to David Price’s elbow. I’m scared. And to be honest, I was fine when I thought that it was just going to be Price that the Red Sox would lose until about mid-May, but now we have Poopy Pants Pomeranz falling apart already on top of the Price injury.

Yeah, we’ve got Chris Sale and Pretty Ricky right out the gate, but then you’ve got Steven Wright and his shoulder injury and Eduardo Rodriguez and his knee injury. You know those two injuries could come back to haunt us at any point. So help me God if the Red Sox have to dip into their pitching depth, and I have to sit through just one Henry Owens start for this fucking team, I might snap. Here’s the latest update on Price:

After being re-evaluated on Tuesday, David Price is still at least a few days away from beginning a complete throwing program, manager John Farrell said.

“Strength gains have been had, but we’re going to continue to stay in this strengthening phase of this,” Farrell said. “As far as initiating a full-blown throwing program, we’re not at that point yet. We’re getting closer. That’ll be happening ideally in the coming days.”

Price last pitched off a mound on Feb. 28. Since his examination with Dr. James Andrews and Dr. Neal ElAttrache the first week of March, the left-hander has been doing range-of-motion and plyometric exercises with his left arm. He has thrown on flat ground, though not out to distance the way he would in a progressive throwing program.

Farrell has said that Price will begin the season on the disabled list.

By the way, how fucking crazy do you think it is for Price to go from starting his career in Tampa Bay, where they can’t even get people to come to the games even if they give away 20,000 free tickets, to ending up in Boston where you have an Oscar winner keeping up on your spring training health status? I’ll be honest, the Red Sox and Boston in general have some of the worst celebrity fans out there, but do not tell me that Matt Damon isn’t a real diehard Red Sox fan. I will not allow such slander on this platform.

And as much as I love Matt Damon, I can’t write a Matt Damon blog and not include this. Sorry. I’m sure you can understand.
