Hero Bank Security Guard Kills Armed Robber
HuffPo- Video posted Tuesday shows a security guard at Alpine Bank in Rockford, Illinois, fatally shooting a robbery suspect in a gunfight.
Authorities announced Tuesday that the guard, Brian Harrison, acted in defense of himself and others and would not be charged in the Jan 20 incident in which the suspect, Laurence Turner, died at the scene, WIFR reported. Turner, who was hit twice, was linked to three other local armed robberies.
The bank praised Harrison’s bravery, saying he “acted with courage and quickness to protect our family. You are a hero to each and every one of us,” the Rockford Register Star reported.
How ’bout a round of applause for security guard Brian Harrison? Laurence Turner had no idea he was robbing a bank staffed by the Sundance Kid, and that’s on him. If you’re planning a bank robbery, you need to do your homework. Assignments:

Seriously though, Brian Harrison was cool as a cucumber. Took one stumble backward but then it was an all-out offensive, unloading his clip like a it was just another day at the range. Once the smoke cleared, you can almost see him saying “all clear everybody! Ho-hum, nothing to see here.”
