Secretary Of State Rex Tillerson Used Fake Email Alias "Wayne Tracker" While Exxon Mobil CEO

Senate Confirmation Hearing Held For Rex Tillerson To Become Secretary Of State

CNN The New York attorney general has accused Secretary of State Rex Tillerson of using the pseudonym “Wayne Tracker” to send emails related to climate change while serving as CEO of Exxon Mobil.

The office of Eric Schneiderman revealed the unorthodox arrangement in a letter sent to a New York state judge on Monday that also accused Exxon of failing to produce documents related to an investigation into whether the company misled investors over climate change.

Schneiderman’s office said that Tillerson used the “Wayne Tracker” alias from at least 2008 to 2015. They said it was used to “send and receive materials regarding important matters” including climate change.

“Despite the company’s incidental production of approximately 60 documents bearing the “Wayne Tracker” email address, neither Exxon nor its counsel have ever disclosed that this separate email account was a vehicle for Mr. Tillerson’s relevant communications at Exxon,” Senior Enforcement Counsel John Oleske wrote in the letter.

Wayne Tracker? Hmmmm…

So it sounds like Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was using fake email alias “Wayne Tracker” to communicate about climate or something while he was CEO of Exxon. LOVE IT. Aliases are great and anybody that can pull one off — especially a good one like Wayne Tracker — is good people in my book. I don’t want some boring loser leading my state department. I don’t want some unclever stiff representing my country. I don’t even want Rex Tillerson — I want Wayne Tracker.

Just saying those two names in the same paragraph makes you wonder why Rex even whipped up an alias? When you’re born with a name as sweet as Rex Tillerson it’s tough to imagine why you would veer from that script. But then again, Wayne Tracker sounds like a hell of a guy. Don’t think you cane conceive up Wayne Tracker and just sit on it.

Exxon really not backing down from it either.

“The email address, Wayne.Tracker@exxonmobil.com, is part of the company’s email system and was put in place for secure and expedited communications between select senior company officials and the former chairman for a broad range of business-related topics,” spokesman Alan T. Jeffers said in statement.

Good stuff, Mr. Secretary. I once tried to dabble in the alias game but the biased media simply put quotes around my name. Unfair.
