Is This Old Lady That Got Hit By 2 Cabs And Survived Immortal?
NY Post- An elderly woman survived being struck by two taxis — an Uber and a yellow cab — on the Upper East Side, authorities said Sunday. Eleanor Steuer, 84, was crossing the street at York Avenue and East 86th Street around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when an Uber driver plowed his vehicle into her and knocked her to the ground, law-enforcement sources said.A yellow taxi then struck Steuer while she was on the ground, cops said. The woman was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital with injuries to her head, a broken left leg and numerous cuts and scratches, officials said.
I love New York City. I’ve been roaming in and around it my whole life. It’s my favorite place in the world and that’s coming from someone that’s been to a massage parlor in Montreal and MGM before they sold out and became Hollywood Studios. I don’t the love I have to be wrecked, yet this just might do it. I cannot frequent a city that is littered with the likes of supernatural entities like ghosts, Men in Black, and immortal old grannies. There aren’t many things I would say no to, but mingling with the unexplained is one of them.
I don’t want to be your friend or share any Taco Bell with you if you’re going to sit back and tell me Eleanor Steuer isn’t immortal. She’s 84-years-old and lived through the Great Depression, World War II, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Cold War, Woodstock, Y2K, the live action Scooby-Doo movies, and apparently being hit by a car twice in the same night. I’m pretty convinced that old bat would still be kicking if someone snuck into her hospital bed and pulled the plug at this exact moment. Makes me want to give it a go and save New York City. Glenny Balls, national hero!
