After 11 Years, Kurt Angle Is Back In The WWE

You know the best thing about seeing Kurt Angle trending on Twitter last night was? Finding out it wasn’t because he was dead, or because he was popped for another DUI, or set to star in Sharknado 9. Nay, it was because he will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame over Wrestlemania weekend.

Even though he left the WWE rather early in his career, 2006, he is an all-time great. Starting as an annoying heel, and then becoming one of the best faces, Angle is one of the best to ever do it both on the mic and in the ring. He could legit do anything. Plus, he cut one of the most ridiculous promos of all time just to prove how popular he was with the fans:

Plus he was apart of one of my favorite matches of all time where he nearly killed Shane

Jared Carraba texted me last night and said there are rumors of Shane vs Angle II at Wrestlemania as a sort of retirement match for Angle. The nostalgia factor is high, but I don’t want them to rematch such a classic match. Let it stand on it’s own.

When Angle does show up at the Royal Rumble in 2 weeks though, the pop is going to be an all-timer. Glad to see the man of Three I’s back home where he belongs. Will he wrestle one last match in WWE? Yet to be seen. But either way, he’s being put in the HOF, and that’s pretty great, oh it’s true, it’s damn true.
