Ric Flair (And Coolio?) Will Be Headling The 25th Annual Wing Bowl

Philly.com – Ric Flair, the styling, profiling, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheeling and dealing son of a gun is coming to Wing Bowl. Sportsradio 94.1 WIP host Angelo Cataldi announced on this Tuesday show that the professional WWE wrestling legend will be a special guest at this year’s Wing Bowl, which will celebrate 25 years of debauchery at the Wells Fargo center in the early morning hours of February 3, 2017. “I’m excited… I heard there’s like 18-20,000 people and scantily clad wingettes,” Flair chuckled before telling Cataldi he was hoping to hold his own private wingette competition. “I guarantee you one thing – I’m not going to get married to any of them.” Flair isn’t the only high-profile guest that will be in attendance. Cataldi said Grammy Award-winning singer Coolio will perform three of his hits prior to the annual wing eating completion.

Ahhh, yes.

However, it’s nice to see The Nature Boy making an appearance this year. Maybe he’ll hang out more than the last two guests of honor, Dennis Rodman (who was there for a total of 13 minutes to collect his paycheck before vanishing to North Korea) and Mankind Nick Foley (who was there…but not really all there). And we get Coolio playing his 3 of his hits?!?!! I love how that press release insinuates Coolio had more than 3 recgonizable tunes. What a special treat it’ll be to hear Fantastic Voyage, Gangsta’s Paradise, and…an encore of Fantastic Voyage! Oh, wait, how could I forget the classic 1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin’ New). To each their own. But hopefully the 53-year-old rapper will be able to go 3 for 3 before Miller Lite Missiles start flying over his hair. Even money says he’ll bat .500 before being forced to leave the stage. If that. And, no, I am not happy that will most likely happen at this festival of glorious shame.

Be sure to root on our horse Skin & Bones yet again as he goes for glory. And by going for glory I of course mean puking his nuts out immediately after the event ends for a wonderful 6th place finish. Still worth it. Here’s shades of last year’s post Wing Bowl at Xfinity. This was 8:24 in the morning, hence why you gotta love the MC. The bum on the bull? Not so much

Somehow that beast hurt me less than Deliliah’s and Sugarhouse did before noon on that fateful day.
