A Little Overtime And Chill For These Blackhawks Fans Behind The Bench Last Night
Things are heating up in the United Center. You either wait for the kiss cam to be on you, or you make the kiss cam be on you. Either way…I’m grossed out. You don’t make out like that in the stadium. Kiss Cam means either a quick peck, a comically over the top aggressive kiss, or getting embarassed because you’re in the friendzone or its your sister. It does not mean, slow, sensual, soft core porn kisses. Gross dude. You want to basically have sex in the stadium then go to Ralph Wilson or the Oakland Coliseum.
As for the Hawks, they picked up another tough two points without Jonathan Toews who is still out with a muscle issue. Crawford was incredible again, even if he did have a few heart attack moments. I said it last night, but this is the most fun I’ve had in the regular season in a long time. The Blackhawks are getting results while breaking in young guys as they go. Hinostroza and Hartman continue shine. Hinostroza showed SERIOUS jets last night that lead to a mini break-away in the 2nd. Motte had a nice rush as well. The kids are getting more confident, the goalies are strong, and as long as they stay healthy the Blackhawks should be able to make another serious push for a Stanley Cup.
Also, while we are at it…let’s appreciate Panarin. That little shootout winner was so silky.
And real quick, taking a look at the pipeline so the Dynasty can continue to reign…
Alex DeBrincat is MURDERING the OHL. Another hat trick and 5 point night yesterday. That puts him at 26 goals and 25 assists in just 23 games. That’s good for 2.22 points per game. The only guys who have scored that many points in the OHL…Connor McDavid, Jason Spezza, Patrick Kane, and Sam Gagner(who rode Kane’s coat tails). Pretty good company. I’m trying to temper my excitement about DeBrincat because he is only 18 and he is only 5’7, but you can’t deny that type of production. Really looking forward to seeing him in the WJC in a month and maybe getting a call for the last 10 games of the regular season. Dynasty Reign indeed
