Dave Chappelle Will Reportedly Make $60 MILLION Off Those 3 Netflix Specials

P6- Dave Chappelle landed a huge deal at Netflix — said to be worth up to $60 million — following his hit “SNL” hosting debut. The stand-up comic has three specials planned for the streaming giant, it was announced on Monday. Two hail from Chappelle’s personal archive, while a third will be produced for Netflix. The shows will be released simultaneously next year, and will be Chappelle’s first specials in 12 years. The deal is the talk of the media industry. One insider said: “Dave was offered $20 million a special. Netflix basically has a war chest for this kind of content. Whether it’s a loss or not, Dave Chappelle’s specials will get a lot of press and bring in new subscribers.”

And just like that, Dave made all that money back that he walked away from for Chappelle’s Show and then some. I think Comedy Central offered him something like $50 million to keep doing the show and Chappelle was like, “Nah. Being rich and famous is for the birds. I’m outa here.” Only to come back all these years later and cash a YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE pay day thanks to a ginormous streaming service that didn’t even exist back then. Netflix probably gave him a blank check if we’re being honest. Funny how that works. I didn’t really have a guess how much Chappelle was gonna make off the 3 specials but you knew it was gonna be a TON. Netflix has more money than god. They can plop their big ol’ money dick on the table and get almost any talent they want. It’ll work out for Netflix cause people are gonna watch, share and talk about Dave Chappelle’s comedy specials. And it’ll work out for Dave because he just got a wire transfer for 60 million dollars directly to his checking account. Everybody wins. Including us. The more Dave Chappelle, the better.
