Max Scherzer Wins His Second Career Cy Young Award

Well that’s pretty cool. Post season sadness aside, always good to see your guys winning awards. And especially Max Scherzer, who is just the man. He’s the most dominating pitcher I’ve seen since Randy Johnson, and the voters agreed as he collected 25 of the 30 first round votes. He pitched a shit ton of innings, had 284 Ks, and had that extra awesome 20 K game in May. Just an awesome season for Scherzer and a well-deserved Cy Young award which hopefully his wife won’t throw away.

His win comes on the heals of Trea Turner finishing 2nd in rookie of the year, Dusty Baker up for manager of the year, and tomorrow Daniel Murphy can win MVP.
