Is Anybody Having A Worse Monday Than Tony Romo?

I hate the Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo just as much as the next guy. But I’m a sucker for people who are sad. Maybe that’s just because I’m a really kind and caring person by nature. And seeing Tony Romo look up jobs that are hiring on his Microsoft Surface iPad yesterday while Dak Prescott was leading Dallas to an 8-1 record just broke my heart. I can’t help it. I want to relish in his misery after getting Wally Pipped to the clipboard. I want to dance on his grave. Yet here I am on Monday November 14, 2016 and I genuinely feel bad for Tony Romo. The man who has been an arch nemesis to Eagles fans for the past decade.

He had to have known that this day would come eventually. But next week he’ll be suiting up for the Dallas Cowboys as a back up quarterback. Tony Romo. Backup quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. I just wish we could get inside his mind a little here. He can say that he’s “willing to be a team guy” all he wants but there’s not a single person in the world who actually buys that, right? Nobody has to be rooting for Dak Prescott to get injured more than Tony Romo right now. He may actually love Dak. He may look at him like a son. But that doesn’t change the fact that deep down inside and in the very back of his skeleton closet, he wouldn’t mind Dak breaking his collar bone. Hell, I wouldn’t be overly surprised if we had a Tonya Harding situation on our hands at some point between now and Sunday. Need it like Jerry Jones needs to eat human souls in order to survive.
