Every True American Needs To Watch Stephen Colbert Making Sense Of This Election

Democrat. Republican. Stumping for Trump or being with Her. It doesn’t matter. WE’RE ALL ON THE SAME FUCKING SIDE. And those stats of 54% of Republicans are petrified of the Democratic side and 49% of Democrats are terrified of what Republicans may do are the scariest part of all. What happened to middle ground, nay, common sense? Get a grip, people. Not everyone is an animal just because they don’t share your beliefs, even if that was Trump’s platform.

I can’t stand people in this great nation who identify themselves as a term instead of a person and automatically wish Trump fails because he doesn’t fall in line with their ideals. We’re all rooting for the same thing. Did I support Trump? Hell no. In fact, I didn’t want either (or any) candidate to come out on top. But you know what I do support? America. And his success is our success. For America to truly be “Great Again” (personally I thought we’ve been pretty fucking great already, but it makes a damn good hat) everyone needs to come together. Will it happen? Sadly, outside of a war or catastrophic event – Gulf War, 9/11, and WWII are the go-to examples of everyone unanimously coming together in American history – probably not. But at least we can try to live civilly in peace for once. Again, we’re all on the same side in the end.

No go forth, Americans. We need to support not only our new leader, but each other. It’s time to not harp on (but never forget) we have a reality star who was once Stone Cold Stunned in Wrestlemania leading the free world. No matter who you supported, we’re all in this together, dammit. Time to sleep in the bed we made. And hopefully we won’t need more blankets for a Nuclear Winter.

Ah, fuck it. I know I played this once today but it’s too relevant. Idiocracy 2016. Kanye is already licking his chops at the Oval Office for 2020.
