The First Time I Ever Posted To Barstool: My Experience

glenny

Today I had to go through my first experience uploading a podcast to the website. Not only was it my first time posting a podcast, but also my first ever post to the actual blog that you know and love as Barstool Sports. As I was doing my due intern dilligence making a video with some of the crew for the marathon in a certain pizzeria I received a call from my boss, Caleb Pressley. I figured it would be just a simple call to catch up on some things since we haven’t talked in a couple of days, boy was i wrong. Next thing I know I’m thrown into a terrible array of events after being tasked with getting the Week 4 of the Natty Tour Podcast on the site. When I returned to the office I had to run around like a chicken with its head off trying to find someone to help me. Pete the tech guy, nope…Hank, nope…KFC, nope…Luckily, Frankie was one desk away and happy to help a friend. The podcast was uploaded to PodcastOne at an instant. Or was it?

A couple of minutes later as I was helping Hank and Feitelberg with a video as I get a facetime call from Caleb. Maybe a call of gratitude for my hardwork? negative. That was the first time Caleb ever raised his voice to me. 2:58pm on November 1st, 2016. The Podcast apparently had not uploaded. Fuck me right. Frankie, KFC, and I were under a bunch of pressure. Luckily Charlie Wisco slid in my DM’s as KFC also came to the rescue and got me in contact with a contact at PodcastOne.

Week 4 of the Caleb Pressley Show is on PodcastOne, Week 4 is on iTunes. Everyone’s happy.

There is a saying in a Florence & The Machine song that I cannot remember the title of and it says “It’s always darkest before the dawn”. That is true today as after this fiasco, Caleb declared me the People’s Intern. Feels good to be the People’s Intern.

PS: Of course my actual log-in still isn’t working so shoutout to Spags for putting this up for me.
