(Source) Two hundred fifty-thousand dollars could buy you a home outright in Dallas, Nashville, or just about any decent city in the U.S. Or it could be the deposit on a home owned by an NBA legend in Chicago. Former Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan’s custom home is up for auction and the only thing bidders need is a deposit of $250,000. While it’s unlikely his home will be grabbed for a mere $250,000, it is an interesting entry point, especially considering that it was first listed for sale in February 2012 for $29 million. The price was then slashed to $21 million in January 2013. Often homes spend a bit longer on the market before heading to auction, but Jordan told The Wall Street Journal that he’s ready to leave the home behind.

Maybe I still have John Spano’s 30/30 where he tried to buy the Islanders without any money in my head but I feel like we can do this. If everyone chips in 5 dollars we can get this deposit easily. Then once we have our foot in the door how can they say no? Just need a seat at the negotiating table and I’m sure I can find a way to barter my X-Box and Hand Claw for MJ’s 21 million dollar house. It’s like that old urban legend where the guy traded a paper clip for a car. I can do that. Just need them to see my face and they’ll know I mean business.

PS

First thing I would do if I moved into this house is lower all the rims to 7 feet and have an absolute JAM party.

Double PS

If you didn’t watch that 30/30 it was awesome. Guy basically bought the Islanders with no money and every time they asked him to pay up he had another excuse that dug him into a deeper and deeper hole. He was Drebos before Drebos was Drebos.
