Mike Trout is the best player in baseball. This is not a debate. This is a fact. He currently leads all major league players in WAR (7.0), and offensive WAR (7.0). But when you’re the best player in baseball, you have to be more than just an offensive force. You have to be able to flash a little leather, and Trout has done that and then some over the parts of six seasons that he’s played at the major league level.
PS – I don’t know how some of these guys tip their caps and laugh after having one of their home runs taken away like that. Like, yeah, it’s really impressive, but I would be so fucking mad. This is the big leagues. I’m not here to smile for the camera, I’m here to hit bombs.
