Question About NYC - Are Giant Fish Hooks Hanging From The Ceiling Common?

So I’m day 3 in NYC and had to take the subway into Manhattan. Walk off the train and almost walk directly into this, two fish hooks hanging from a light. Soooo, can anyone explain the story behind this? Is this normal? Is this something I now need to be worried about? People trying to catch humans? I’m not going to freak out, I’m not going to stop taking the Subway, I know dealing with the masses on public transportation is part of this city, but I also know if there was a hot dog or a Butterfinger on the other end of that hook I would’ve thought twice about passing it. I’m honest with myself. I am a human that can absolutely be caught. I can be tricked, I can be duped, I for the most part have shit for brains. So yeah, if NYC is catching humans I’m concerned. Someone tell me this isn’t the case and that this is just a one off thing. I have a lot to worry about moving to a new city, the last thing I need on my plate is the possibility of being captured via fish hook.
