McDonald's Has Banned People From Watching Porn While Using Their Restaurants Free WiFi
NY Post- McDonald’s has stopped allowing customers to use their restaurants’ free Wi-Fi to view porn. The world’s largest restaurant company made the move after an internet safety advocacy group pressured it for two years to block the X-rated stuff.
McDonald’s now joins Panera Bread, Subway and Chick-fil-A as chains that block customers from using free Wi-Fi to view porn, the group, Enough Is Enough, told The Post. “We discovered that corporate America is not aware of how some people use their free Wi-Fi,” said Donna Rice Hughes, the group’s chief executive.
No other way to chalk this up as anything other than a massive loss for America. I can live with places like Chick-fil-A blocking porn. Their owners would probably gouge their eyes out like Arya did Meryn Trant at the mere sight of premarital sex. And Panera seems like way too classy of a joint to watch porn in. That place has fancy lights, walls painted in warm colors, and baked goods. You can’t watch porn in the same place as someone that is laying out fresh blueberry muffins next to a bunch of art on the wall. Ambience out the ass.
But McDonald’s is the symbol of freedom. As well as cheap, fried, awesome food that is absolutely terrible for you. I’m not saying anything goes at Mickey D’s, but almost anything goes there. Ronald McDonald is almost a modern day Statue of Liberty for the tired, the poor, and the huddle masses. This WiFi ban goes against everything we believe in as a people. If I can’t watch Asa Akira get split in two on free WiFi at a dump like McDonald’s as I mindlessly shovel some pink slime McNuggets drenched in Sweet and Sour Sauce, we might as well just ban watching porn on all free public WiFi. And that is not acceptable. I mean don’t get me wrong, if you are just casually watching porn at a fast food joint, you are a fucking lunatic. But it’s about having the OPTION to watch said porn that needs to be defended tooth and nail. And you know what gets banned shortly after the porn sites are banned? The smut blogs. And if that happens, what did George Washington and the boy fight for all those years ago?
