Stephen A. Smith Says There's No Way Johnny Cochran Would've Beaten Him If He Was The Prosecutor In The OJ Simpson Trial

I love Stephen A’s face right after he says, “this might be the cockiest thing that I’ve ever said…”

That right there is a man thinking, “Jesus. Am I really about to say this out loud and on national television? I’m going to, aren’t I? I’m about to say that Stephen A. Smith, a man with no legal training, would have beaten one of the world’s best lawyers at the trial of the century. Welp, here goes!”

Can’t really fault him, though. When you’ve been saying outlandish shit for close to a decade then eventually it all sounds dull, so every once in a while you need to take the restrictor plates off and show everyone that you can still bring a fire take. Johnny Cochran? Yeah that dude wouldn’t have beaten me. No chance.

PS – I’ve never reached for a metaphorical bag of popcorn as quickly as I did when Stephen A hit us with the “Now this might be the cockiest thing I’ve ever said…” I didn’t know what was coming, but I knew it was going to be gold. Just think how different the world would be if Stephen A had gotten the call to prosecute OJ and if Mark Wahlberg was on a plane on 9/11.
