Internet Mocks Cruel Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov Over Missing Cat
Internet not much help finding Chechen leader’s missing cat https://t.co/AiCjRqwGso

Ramzan Kadyrov is a weird cat person (also Islamic and Muslims LOVE cats). He’s also the oft cruel “warlord” leader of Chechnya and fiercely loyal to Putin. (He Instagrams pics of himself wearing Putin shirts).
(Related fun fact: My dad was in Moscow last year and got me a Putin shirt. It’s pretty electric but don’t think I can wear it now?)
Kadyrov’s leadership — inspired and endorsed by Putin — isn’t particularly popular among many Chechens. So when he posted about his missing cat, John Oliver made fun of him and the internet took off with it. Eric Church wisely once said, “I believe dogs… are better than cats,” but the Islamic faith does not agree. They admire cats for their cleanliness and hate dogs for their dirtiness, or some crazy shit like that.
Anywho, the internet did what the internet does and jumped on this guy.

He did not like this, so he posted this response.
To which the internet then responded to by invoking a bunch of horrible shit Kadyrov’s done.
Moral of the story? Cats are easy to make fun of. So are authoritarian Putin lovers. When you mix the two and post online about it, it ain’t gonna go well.
PS – Feel like this one was a no brainer, no?
