Yankees Take Series From Royals And We Have Shirts

That’s 2 series in a row and a great way to kick off this homestand. Eovaldi didn’t look great but he kept us in the game and with the bullpen that we’ve got, we can eat a start like that a few times a week and still turn it into a win.

The lineup looked strong and to see Chase Headley get 2 hits including a 2 run homer is big. It doesn’t mean he’s fully back but getting that first extra base hit off his mind could help him relax and really get things going. Chase now has RBIs in 3 straight games so this could be the beginning of something good.

Castro kicked things off with a homer to get us an early lead, which is key for our starters, and has proven to be a great move by Cashman. I hate to say it but with A-Rod being hurt, it opens up the lineup to give guys like McCann day off behind the plate while keeping his bat in the lineup to contribute. Obviously I love A-Rod but this team has really turned things around since he went down.

The only drawback tonight is that we were so good that it wasn’t a save situation so we couldn’t get a full look at “No Runs DMC” but it’s good to know the option is there. In the meantime though, we’ve got shirts! I don’t know how long these are going to be up so buy early and often.
