The Body Guard Who Got Fired By Kanye Tells His Side Of The Story On Inside Edition

YouTube- The bodyguard who says he was fired by Kanye West doesn’t have nice things to say about the star. Steve Stanulis told Inside Edition that West is “self-absorbed and condescending.” Stanulis said he was supposed to escort West and wife Kim Kardashian to the Met Gala on Monday, but he said he was fired without notice only minutes before his job started. Published reports claim that Stanulis was seen talking to Kardashian but he says that isn’t true, “I was not flirting with Kim Kardashian,” he said. 

How about the balls on this guy huh? Dude what are you doing? I understand he wants to tell his side of the story but he doesn’t have to go and blast his opinion on Inside Edition. You know what I bet is the #1 thing celebrities look for in a body guard (other than a body pumped full of steroids)? It’s the same thing mob bosses look for when in their underlings. It’s the lesson Judas, Fredo and Wallace never learned. Discretion. Somebody who won’t go talking about their business when things get hard. Whether he was flirting with Kim or not doesn’t really matter*. The fact that he decided to go public (hat tip Bill Simmons) and air out his grievances on Inside Edition does matter. If I’m a celebrity looking to hire a body guard I put Steve Stanulis on the Never Hire Under Any Circumstances list. Because now everybody knows he’ll go flapping his gums to a media outlet once he’s done working for them. Hard pass.

*Why doesn’t it matter? Because literally everybody knows that Kanye is a lunatic and for sure overreacted. My guess is that everybody just assumes he wasn’t flirting with Kim and Kanye just lost his mind because he’s Kanye fucking West.
