DeAndre Jordan Airballed Back To Back Free Throws, Is Redefining Bad

I was actually having this discussion with a friend the other night. How the hell is DeAndre Jordan THIS bad at shooting free throws? It’s actually incredible to sit back and think that any one of us could easily beat him in a free throw shooting contest. A professional basketball player who makes millions and millions of dollars, air-balling back to back free throws. And the part I really don’t get is that he actually has halfway decent touch on the ball. This isn’t like Shaq who would line drive it at the rim, DeAndre Jordan gets nice arc, he just never seems to be even close to the rim. Just last week he missed a Free Throw to the right, not the right part of the rim, clear to the right, didn’t touch a thing.

I’ve never seen that happen before. I’ve seen air balls but never air balls clear to the right when facing the rim dead on. He’s redefining the bad free throw game. The Clippers would actually love to have regular season DeAndre back, .430 free throw %. In the playoffs he’s gone 13-40. Unfathomably bad. He’s gotten so bad it’s gone from “this is terrible” to “this is must watch just to see how bad he truly is”. I can’t wait to see what he does next, because once you airball back to back, the sky is the limit for how terrible you can be.
