ABC News- Tracy Morgan returned to New Brunswick, New Jersey, over the weekend to perform at the State Theatre for a very special audience. The comedian performed his “Picking Up The Pieces” stand-up routine in front of a crowd filled with doctors, nurses and first responders from the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where Tracy was treated after his near-fatal car crash in 2014. In an interview with People magazine, the comedian explained why the performance meant so much to him. “Last night was one of the most special nights of my life,” Morgan said. “To be standing on stage with the people that saved my life in the audience was an overwhelming experience. I will never fully be able to thank the doctors, nurses, first responders and everyone else that got me back on that stage enough.”

Saw this and wanted to mention it. Tracy Morgan being an awesome dude and performing stand up for the nurses and doctors who saved his life after that horrific car crash a couple years back. I don’t know if people remember just how close Tracy Morgan was to dying. I’m not a doctor but I am on social media 24 hours a day and I remember when the news about Morgan’s crash came out that it was bleaaaaaaaak. Just no good news whatsoever coming out about Tracy’s condition. Then once there were reports that he was going to live they weren’t sure if he’d ever be able to perform again. Well luckily for everyone who loves comedy and loves Tracy Morgan, he pulled through and is back to performing. He hosted SNL, I’ve seen him on a couple late night shows and now is back to doing stand up. Just feel good story about one of the most naturally funny dudes to walk the face of the Earth. Beyond glad he made a full recovery.

Still one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in my life.
