Patrick Kane Becomes The First Ever American NHL Scoring Champion
Before we get to the Blues, mullets, beards, and Reeses, we need to acknowledge what Patrick Kane did this season because it was sensational.
Career high 46 goals, career high 60 assists, and a career high league leading 106 points and tucked in there was a nice little 26 game scoring streak. Nobody ever really came close to catching Kane in the scoring race either. There were long stretches where Kane and Panarin were the entire offense for the Blackhawks. He has the Art Ross as Scoring Champion, and he should win the Hart Trophy at the end of the year as well.
The NHL season is long. It’s even longer when you’re a Hawks fan and you know that the only thing that matters is the playoffs. Kane made the Blackhawks must watch TV every single night because he doesn’t just score, he scores in spectacular fashion.
