LeSean McCoy And Crew Will Not Be Charged For The Rumble At Recess

ESPN – LeSean McCoy will not be charged for his alleged role in a Feb. 7 nightclub fight with off-duty Philadelphia police officers, a source told ESPN’s John Barr, confirming multiple reports. The Philadelphia District Attorney’s office is expected to announce its decision not to pursue charges later Monday. Philly.com was first to report the news Monday. McCoy’s attorney, Dennis Cogan, told ESPN’s Mark Schwarz that a news conference has been scheduled for Monday at 2:30 p.m. ET at the district attorney’s office. Although McCoy reportedly won’t be charged, the NFL will conduct its own investigation into the incident and still could discipline the Buffalo Bills’ running back.

A lot of people, including myself, were very quick to judge after news of this brawl went down. Things didn’t help McCoy’s case after that video of his crew stomping the yard was dropped by TMZ. But if the off-duty cops were just as much as fault in inciting the melee, I suppose should Shady and his boys be punished. The coppers could’ve started it but McCoy’s crew sure did end the fight, albeit it by curbstomping faces and using champagne bottles instead of fists. But if it just were a bar room brawl then 20 years ago this wouldn’t have seen the light of day. Patch up and live to fight another day like real men.

And here we have Shady celebrating his victory out COLD on his way from Philly to Buffalo this morning. Gotta respect a good plane nap coma.
