Wake Up With Edgar Martinez Hitting A Home Run Off The Catwalk
I don’t think anybody hates Tropicana Field more than me, and I’ve never even been there before. It looks like a dump, the catwalks drive me insane, and the PA system is just loud and obnoxious. But I will say that “hitting a home run off the catwalk” makes a home run sound more impressive than it really is. Edgar Martinez hit 29 home runs that year in 1998, but I’ll bet this is the only one that he hit off a catwalk, so that somehow makes it special. When in reality, it’s just a regular home run that hit off of some shit that’s hanging from the ceiling, which really shouldn’t be there. Catwalk home runs, man. Love ‘em.
