Alabama Governor Is In The Midst Of Scandal After The Lamest Phone Sex Tape Of All Time Between He And A Staffer Is Released

(Source) Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley this afternoon apologized to the people of Alabama for explicit comments he made to Rebekah Mason, his top political adviser.

But Bentley, who has been under siege since former Alabama Law Enforcement Secretary Spencer Collier accused him of having an affair, denied he had been involved in a physical relationship with her.

Bentley said his comments, captured on recordings in 2014, have hurt his family and Mason’s. He called today “a difficult day.”

He repeated over and over that his sins were in the words he used in talking to Mason, nothing more.

When asked to comment on the recordings – part of which include Bentley describing how he liked the come up behind the woman and touch her breasts – he clarified that it was not a “sexual relationship.”

He did not explain the difference.

Bentley said he has not entertained the idea of stepping down. He said the people of Alabama have trusted them and he hopes they will continue to trust him.

Robert, Robert, Robert. What was that man? Was that supposed to be phone sex? Come on man. If you’re going to have a sex scandal while in office you need to make sure you get some bang for the buck. Not have the most boring phone sex of all time. You like to touch her breasts and pull her close? Ooooh, watch out Bobby, next thing you know you’ll be french kissing. And what was “putting my hands under you” all about? Are you changing the oil in your car or trying to get your fuck on Bobby? Just an utter disgrace and not the way everyone else is painting it. Really disappointed in the state of Alabama. Government sex scandals should be better than a Paul Finebaum caller giving a detailed explanation of middle school second base (over the bra). Sad.

PS

I love that Robert Bentley is actually going with the “those were just words, we never fucked” line of defense. Because who doesn’t tell a female staffer “I love you” and I want to touch your breasts in casual office water cooler conversations? That’s just casual government talk, everyone knows that.
