I Do Not Understand Why KFC Has A Rotating Cast Of People Playing Colonel Sanders And It Upsets Me

This is my Barstool Confession of the week. I have no fucking clue what is going on with KFC commercials or their rotating cast of people playing Colonel Sanders. Whenever somebody brings it up in casual conversation and talks about how weird it is, I just laugh and shrug. But deep down I’m confused and angry. I have no clue why it bothers me so much but it does. The commercials are fine but have we ever gotten an explanation as to why they’re jumping from comedian to comedian for their fried chicken spokesperson? Did I miss it? I haven’t seen one. Maybe it’s so blogs, just like this one I’m writing right now, will appear and it’ll be free marketing for Kentucky Fried Chicken.  If that’s what’s happening, touché. You got me hook, line and sinker but I hate you at the same time. Again, it’s not even that I hate the commercials.  They’re fine. It just freaks me out that I don’t know what I’m getting every time a KFC ad appears on my TV. Is it gonna be Darrell Hammond? Is it gonna be Norm? Is it gonna be Gaffigan? Is it gonna be Melissa McCarthy? I don’t need that type of surprise in my life. I just don’t. Somebody explain to me why this is happening.
