Should Will Wilcox Be The Temporary “People’s Golfer”?

So this came up last week. I was lamenting the fact that our boy Jim Renner was not on the PGA Tour anymore. He’s currently on the Web Tour battling his way back for those keeping score at home. I’m sure he’ll eventually make his triumphant return, but I’m getting antsy waiting for him. Because to this day following him around the Hartford Open and creating Renner’s Army was one of the unexpected most fun weekends I’ve had in a long time. I need that rush again. Well Jim himself proposed we throw our support behind his buddy Will Wilcox. I’m so conflicted. He’s kind of a pretty boy right? That’s no knock on his personality but look at him. He’s a handsome fellow. I feel like we’d have to wear tophats and have eye monocles in the gallery as we followed him around. That may actually be a pretty cool gimmick, but I don’t even know what we’d call ourselves? Wilcox’s Gentleman? What do people think? Should we have a temporary “People’s Golfer” or do we just have to wait till Renner makes it back to the PGA even though that may never happen.

PS - To Wilcox’s credit he did get in a dispute on the driving range for blasting Drake. That’s got to count for something.
