“What the fuck!? Piece of shit!” – little kid watching wrestling – grown man watching wrestling.

And thus ended another WWE PPV where the majority of the fans were unhappy, but one man, Vincent Kennedy McMahon, got what he wanted. Vince has wanted Reigns to headline Mania since he set his eyes on him. So despite Reigns not connecting with the fans, not being able to cut a promo, and not being over, Vince was going to get what he wanted. He’d rather make a dollar his way than a million someone else’s, and by golly, he will be making that dollar with Reigns as his top face.

I’ll have a longer recap of Fastlane and what it means heading into Wrestlemania, which is now only 41 days away. We have our main event set right now as HHH vs Roman Reigns. An old ass man who doesn’t even wrestle anymore vs a young guy who has been pushed too hard, too fast, and who wins every big match and then gets booed out of the building. It’s not necessarily Reigns’ fault- bad writing and a storyline that makes no sense has led us here. They were writing Reigns as the underdog despite him never having lost a match, HHH went on and on about how he would do anything to stop Reigns from being champion, and then put him in the number 1 contender match, and so on and so forth. So now we have this awkward main event where the top face isn’t over, and the top heel shouldn’t even be in the match to begin with but only is because they do such a bad job building and writing other characters (see: Wyatt, Bray). And the ultimate irony is that HHH knows none of this is working, but as long as Vince is in charge, it’s the way it’s going to be. And to that, we say,
