Girls Basketball Team Wins 108-1 And I'm Legitimately Shocked. I Honestly Have No Idea How It Was Possible In This Case...

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Gilmour girls basketball team won Wednesday night over Northeast Ohio College Prep in a Division III North Ridgeville Sectional semifinal. But what has drawn more attention today was the final score: 108-1. Yes, the margin of victory was 107 points. “Our intent was to not run anything up, and we took steps to not disrespect our opponent,” Gilmour coach Bob Beutel said. “They went 0-for-28 from the field and 1-for-4 from the free-throw line. We let them shoot.”

Two things here:

1. Love the winning coach of Gilmore. He’s not going to apologize for beating the shit out of anybody, that’s what he’s supposed to do. Zero sympathy from him. It’s sad that a winning coach being happy about winning is refreshing, but it is. He could have said that the other girls played their hearts out and he respects them for it, but he didn’t. He said they stink. “What do you want us to do? We gave them open looks, they just fucking suck and missed their shots. Not gonna put it in the basket for them.” Amen, my man.

2. Ummmm, HOW the hell was Gilmour the victors in this bloodbath? Anyone take a good look at that pic? Look closely.

One team looks like the cast of a CW show and the other looks like, well, they look like they should be good at basketball. I don’t mean to come off as racist but black people are really good at basketball and white people are not so good, black people should win basketball games vs white people. If your team looks like a team that Don Imus would say some really nasty things about then you’ve got no business getting embarrassed by Gilmour Academy. It’s like in The Office when Michael was shocked at how bad Stanley was at basketball. I looked at that photo and thought “Welp, no shit Gilmour kicked their ass, look at the playe — WHAT! GILMOUR IS THE WHITE TEAM?!” Genuinely shocking stuff. I’d go so far as to say this is the most offensive and mean thing white people have ever done to a group of black folks.
