I Guess Portnoy Just Stormed Twitter Headquarters?

I didn’t even really understand what was going on with this in real time. It seemed like Portnoy was just sitting at Twitter HQ and playing it up a bit for the Twitter crowd, but the great part of being the evil website of the internet is that people will pick up on every little thing you do. Business Insider decided to run a piece on it like Twitter HQ was the Bastille and Dave was a French revolutionary.

“Barged into Twitter headquarters demanding to be verified” paints what I would call a slightly different picture than a man casually sitting in the lobby, but what do I know? Kind of bullshit that they couldn’t even get his name right, though. Not sure what’s more offensive: not being able to be verified or being a millionaire that Business Insider doesn’t even bother to run a spell check on.

Then again, Business Insider, like all sites who write about us, aren’t huge on the facts as they claimed we’re not verified because we encourage our readers to attack people.

I’m not sure when “having discussions and saying things in public forums” became “ordering fans to attack” but I guess that’s what we call it these days. Good note to have.

Nonetheless, the Barstool staff is still without blue checkmarks. Pretty shocking development seeing as things went so smoothly last time Barstool staged a sit-in. Free grapes, though. That’s something?
