John Rocker Supporting Donald Trump For President Should Be Interesting
The Hill- Controversial retired baseball star John Rocker is endorsing Donald Trump. “Absolutely,” Rocker told the The Daily Caller. “I’ve always wanted to see that person who’s like, ‘Yeah, I’ve made these comments, these are my beliefs, and you know what, if you don’t like it, stick it.’ ” “Donald Trump is that guy,” the former Major League Baseball pitcher added. “I think he has really woken America up. “I think that is something that millions and millions of Americans have been waiting for probably a decade or two to hear something – maybe even since [former President] Reagan,” said Rocker.
Rocker called Trump a breath of fresh air for the nation’s politics. “I’m probably as disheartened as everyone else is, as Trump supporters seem to be, with the status quo and the glad-handing politicians and the sound-bite politicians always looking for the right comment to make and walking that fine line trying to make every single faction out there, who could be a possible voter, don’t make anybody mad and wear kid gloves,” he said.

You know how you can have your home friends and your college friends and there are certain friends you hope never cross paths at your bachelor party or something? That’s what I think of when I hear that John Rocker supports Donald Trump. I mean I have a feeling a lot of Rocker’s friends are already Trump guys. Just speak your mind and worry about the consequences later. And I don’t think any of the people that Rocker described on the 7 Train way back when were voting for Trump anyway.
But the problem for Trump is that you can handle one John Rocker supporting you publicly. Because if you keep adding people like Rocker to your list of public supporters, pretty soon you are going to scare away the undecided voters. Nobody wants to vote like the crazy people in school for class president. Similar thing applies for the real president. So you are locked in with Rocker now, Donny. But I don’t think you want many more like him speaking out.
