6ABC – The mayor of North Wildwood, NJ says he is “disappointed” by Gov. Chris Christie’s controversial campaign trail comments about the flooding experienced in Cape May County during the Blizzard of 2016. Mayor Patrick Rosenello issued a statement Tuesday morning, after Christie referred to him as “one crazy mayor down in south Jersey.” Christie’s comments came during a town hall event Monday evening in Hooksett, New Hampshire. The governor was asked by a young woman at a town hall why he was campaigning in the state instead of helping survey damage caused by the snowstorm. She said her family and friends in the state were concerned. Video of the exchange shows Christie responding, “Well because it’s already done.” He said only one county in the state experienced flooding and asked what she expected him to do. “You want me to go down there with a mop?” he asked. “The fact is, all the roads were cleared and NJ Transit was back up,” Christie said. “For the people who did sustain flooding, we had folks on the ground to evacuate them if they needed to be evacuated. No one needed to be evacuated.”

Let the fat man work! I mean, he’s got a point. What exactly do people want him to do? Waddle down to Wildwood for a couple pointless photo ops on the boardwalk and escape before sunset when the entire place resembles that Mexican biker/vampire bar in From Dusk Till Dawn? If anything that entire town could’ve used a solid power washing. There’s no reason for him to do nothing in South Jersey when he’s completely content with doing nothing in New Hampshire. The fact is this isn’t the shore’s first rodeo. They know what they’re doing down there and whoever is in charge doesn’t need to be there holding everyone’s hands. Maybe he’d like to reach down those magical pants and pull out a better selection of words, but seriously. What the hell do you want him to do?

But the fact remains judging by, you know, fucking photographic and video evidence that the Jersey Shore did get hammered over the weekend and there is a lot of shit that needs to get done. Because I’ll tell ya what, if Fred’s, Mac’s, and The WB/Princeton aren’t operational by Memorial Day then Gov Christie better pray his lucky Fupa protects him. The bell will toll for thee if a single happy hour is missed. If anything Christie needs to finally take Stewie Griffin out of his pants and put him to work on the clean up. Poor kid hasn’t been able to breathe in years.
