New Study Proves the "Man Flu" Exists Which Explains Why Real Men Like Myself Get Deathly Ill

Time – A recent study in the American Journal of Physiology suggests that certain estrogen-based compounds can make it harder for flu viruses to infect cells. Estrogen, of course, is a female reproductive hormone so it was no surprise that the estrogen compounds, including drugs that are used to treat breast cancer, worked better against the flu in cells that came from women than those that came from men. There’s some precedent for investigating the connection between estrogen and the immune system —studies show that inflammation, one of the immune system’s responses against infection, changes in the presence of estrogen.

I am very sick right now. Been dead sick since Sunday. If I had to self-diagnose myself I’d say I have Strono. Some weird combo of Strep Throat and Mono. Brutal really. Currently I have a 105 fever. That’s down from a 107 on Monday. Cue the peanut gallery who say I’d be dead if I had a 107 fever. Maybe you’d be dead, but I’m not you. I’m a fighter. I’m a warrior. I’m a soldier. I have an indomitable will to live. If I die the whole Chernin deal is off and all my employees are screwed. KFC’s kid probably ends up in child services and then god knows what happens. I can’t live with that on my conscious. So I fight. Every breath though is a struggle. I can’t eat, I can’t think, I can barely breathe. I’m on a feeding tube/straw. Yet instead of showing compassion people keep chirping me saying I get sick all the time. That I’m a weak ass immune system punk ass bitch.

Listen I’ll admit I get sick a decent amount. Basically if I stay up past 1am nowadays I automatically get sick 3 days later. Even I was beginning to question what was wrong with me. But now at least we know why I get sick so much. Because I’m a Man. I don’t have an ounce of estrogen in my body. All you playboys who think you’re so tough because you never catch a cold that just means you have chick parts. Estrogen is the key to a healthy immune system and I don’t have an ounce of that shit in my body. That’s why I’m always sick. Because I’m a Manchild. But the same quality that makes me susceptible to colds is also what lets me fight like hell to survive. I’d have it no other way. That’s what men do. The fight and they overcome. None of you Estrogen chumps would understand the first thing about it. Keep being healthy you pussies. I’ll keep chopping wood.
