Caps Bounce Back From a Bad Loss In Buffalo To Beat The Rangers 5-2 Behind a Justin Williams Hat Trick

Let’s flash back to Saturday real quick, the Caps worst game of the season. Just one of those flat games where nothing is clicking, the effort doesn’t look like it’s all there, the guys aren’t locked in. Every team has games like that. As good as the Caps are- 34-8-3, every so often they’re going to lay an egg. But the good news is they got to come right back out yesterday and get back to their winning ways, which they did by stuffing the Rangers in a locker for a 5-2 win. Ovi scored his 27th of the season, MoJo scored number 12, and Kuzy had 3 assists to boost him up to sixth in the league in points, including this dandy.

It was just another one of those typical Caps games where they are just clearly the better team. They didn’t go out there guns blazing, riffling shots on the net, trying to make up for Sunday- it was just cool, calm, Caps hockey and the result is a 5 spot in front of the home crowd. And that’s what is so great about this team. They are comfortable enough with themselves and their talent to know what happened the day before doesn’t matter. All they did was hop back on the ice, play their game, and bring home the W and become the first team in the league to pass 70 points.
