Is The NFL Purposely Feeding ESPN Bad Info To Distance Themselves From Deflategate Or Worse Yet Is ESPN In On It?

(Of course Mort tweeted live from NFL Films…..HARDOOOOOOOOO)

What a 48 hours for ESPN. First they broke the news that the NFL was pulling out of BU’s concussion research because they didn’t like the lead researcher assigned to the project only to have the NFL call them liars and then the actual research firm saying it was their decision. Then we have Ron Jaworski saying that Odell Beckham’s suspension was overturned only to find out it was the exact opposite. Just one glaring mistake after another from the WorldWide Leader. ESPN says black, the NFL says white. It’s borderline surreal.

To the casual observer they’d probably just write this off to ESPN being incompetent buffoons. Just ESPN being ESPN. But I honestly think something much more sinister is at play. This seems like a deliberate attempt by the NFL to feed ESPN bad info so they can distance themselves from them. Why?  So when Brady’s appeal comes around they can deny leaking information to Chris Mortensen about PSI’s. “Like hey look…Mike Kensil had nothing to do with that PSI report. ESPN has a long and storied history of getting everything they report wrong”  Because I just refuse to believe that any network can make an ass out of themselves this often unless there is foul play involved. Unfortunately it wouldn’t shock me if ESPN was in on it. That’s how big of a patsy they are. If the Roger Goodell tells Ron Jaworski he needs to bite the bullet here and make a mockery of his entire existence or they’ll never give him another scoop he bites the bullet. And to think they almost got away with it. Not on my watch you don’t. The Night’s Watch never sleeps.

PS – I love how when ESPN lies they just pretend it never happened. Jaws just carrying along his business like nothing ever happened. Very ala Mort. Only difference is Mort actually deleted his erroneous tweets. Not sure if that’s better or worse.
