Coach Ditka Says He Would Give Tebow A Look At QB, Probably A Good Thing He's Not A Coach Anymore

(source) If the online petition asking President Obama to force the Jacksonville Jaguars into signing free-agent quarterback Tim Tebowfails, perhaps there’s still hope for the recently released Jet.

Former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka has given Tebow his own vote of confidence.

“I think [Tebow] can play quarterback in the NFL, but whatever offense you run might have to be tweaked a bit,” Ditka told the Chicago Sun-Times. “This kid is a talent and he proved it in college. He is an outstanding leader. Now, does he have an unusual throwing motion? Yes. But there a lot of quarterbacks that didn’t have a perfect throwing motion. Some of them turned out to be great quarterbacks because they were great leaders.”

Ditka did, however, join the refrain of football voices suggesting that Tebow might be better off making a position switch — an idea Tebow doesn’t seem too interested in entertaining.

“I really do think there’s a place for him,” Ditka told the paper. “If not at quarterback, I think he could play tight end. If I was in the league and coaching today, I would take a chance on him at quarterback.”

Sort of respect Ditka here. He’s literally the only person in the world not related to Tim Tebow that thinks Tebow can still play quarterback in the NFL. March to the beat of a different drum Coach, even if that drum is off beat, built like a fullback and has the accuracy of a 12 year old girl, its still YOUR drum. It’s like all the people who say I suck at making T-Shirts. Fuck them. I make fire T-Shirts. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So what if the beholder in this case is a guy who hasn’t coached in almost 15 years, it’s still beauty.

New shirt I’m working on. I just can’t stop. The ideas are flowing like crazy. Maybe start doing a shirt a day?
